What does the calculator do? It estimates a suitable solar and battery direction using your electricity use, roof details and future EV or heat pump plans.

Is the report a final design? No. It is guidance only. Final design, performance, price and suitability must be confirmed by an installer survey.

Are my answers shown in the URL? No. Energy Scout UK avoids exposing calculator answers in public URLs.

Package FAQ

What packages are shown? Public matching should only show active published packages linked to suitable published installers.

Can I compare packages? Yes. You can add packages to the compare list and review key details side by side.

Are package prices guaranteed? No. Prices are indicative until the installer confirms the specification and survey outcome.

Installer FAQ

How do installers join? Installers register, provide company details and wait for platform review before public package visibility.

How are leads handled? Leads are assigned or locked according to the platform flow, and installers can only access permitted leads.

Can installers upload packages? Approved installers and admins can manage package information through the dashboard and import tools.

Customer FAQ

Do I need an account? You can browse and compare first. A customer account is needed when requesting and tracking quotes.

Who can see my quote requests? Customers see their own quotes. Installers see only their assigned or locked leads. Admins manage platform data.

Is there an obligation? No. Requesting a quote starts a conversation and survey process; it is not a commitment to proceed.

BUS FAQ

What is BUS? The Boiler Upgrade Scheme supports eligible heat pump installations in England and Wales.

Who applies? The process is installer-led and normally requires an MCS-certified installer.

Is funding guaranteed? No. Eligibility, property details, technology and current official rules must all be checked.
